Dear Player,

Dear Player,

Dear Player,

I know you were just experimenting in your youth. I know you were just curious.
You were just passing the time, playing.

But it was my feelings you played with.
It was my heart you used.
It was my life you experimented on.

How dare you.

You took advantage of my naivety. You used my untainted belief that love exists against me.

How cruel. How heartless. How careless.

How selfish.

I hope someday you find someone better than you in this game.

I hope someday you meet someone who is not as ready as you were with me when you are finally as ready as I was with you.

Then maybe when you lose, you will remember me, your training ground.

Good luck with your next game.

  1. A really great post...that so many of us can totally relate to.
Why some people have to use and hurt others like this is beyond my understanding...but we can take solace in this thought...what goes around, comes around. They will be hurt one day too...

  14. Playing games with others feelings is never fun. There's no win or lose, just false sense of accomplishment, small ego fed and heart breaks.
This is a nice text. Time heals it all.
    Thanks for sharing :)

  20. Happy New Year to you! You are always so kind coming over and visiting my blog. I really enjoyed this and your words are wise and this blog space is lovely. It took me a long while to add myself as a follower. The blogger/google sites won't remove my old e mail address and replace it with the correct one so I get my old and newer profile pic etc. Ah...technology is not my strong suit! Have a blessed weekend. xo

  21. Playing with someone's feelings....it's just wrong. What goes around comes around, they're playing with Karma.

  24. I love how you wrote this - training ground - yep, so can relate. But the neat thing is it's training ground for us too, to not let someone like that into our lives again, to look out not for the charmer, but the true lover. Have an amazing week out there.

  30. So much hurt and pain when continued to be carried only gets worse. Forget this one who hurt you so deeply and you did good to delete all that pertained to him. The difficult things will be to "Forgive" him for all his treatment of you, because not forgiving will only continue to hurt you. He is free but unless you forgive him, you are bound. Your thoughts were well written, and I love your openness sweet girl. I do pray you find someone to value you because you are worth it for a permanent relationship.
